Conditions of the competition

Dear participants, pay careful attention!!! Kamianets-Podilskyi is a popular tourist destination.

Thats why we highly recommend you to book your hotels for the time of the festival in advance. The official partner of the festival, (hotel "7 Days"), offers you a comfortable and budget accommodation in the city center, close to the venue of the competition. Make sure that you will have a place to stay right now: call us to book a comfortable double room for your stay. 

Don t forget to mention our password phrase while booking:

 І– THE APPLICATION PROCEDURE   

Vocalists of any nationality are eligible to participate in the competition; men and women aged from 18 to 38, except for the «Impreza», Winners of the last years competition.

An application form should be submitted to organizing committee from March, 1-st to  Jule 01-th.  The application e-mail address:  vmvk.impreza@gmail.com  (notes for the accompanistare to be sent to ternova.ang@ukr.net (as soon as possible).

List of documents for the contest:

   - A copy of the passport.

   - A copy of the receipt of charitable (registration) contribution.

   - Two photos 3 * 4 (passport size) and another photo of your choice (artistic photo).

   - Performer s CV (resume in free form).

   - Notes for your competition music pies (for accompanists ternova.ang@ukr.net). To make sure that all the pages were successfully received, please contact Angelica Ternova (tel. +38 097 858 0664. In case the perticipant arrives with his or her personal accompanist, one doesn’t need to send the notes.

   Application is submitted in Ukrainian, for foreigners in English. To download the application form you need to click "Application" at the top of the page.

   After submitting your application, you voluntarity accept and agree with all terms and conditions of the competition and allow to use submitted information within the purpose of the competition!

   After we have processed your documents, you will receive a confirmation letter.

 

 ІІ–FINANCIAL CONDITIONS

  1. Charitable (registration) contribution eguals 1500 UAH  foreigners can pay the registration fee upon arrival.

  2. If necessary, competitorto is provided with an accompanist. 

  3.Accommodation of the performer and his or her accompanist during the competition is provided at his or her own expence.

  4. We offer an accommodation solution form our partner, Hotel "7 Days". You can book a double room (breakfast included) that will cost 325 UAH (about 11$). For more information contact us usihg "Contacts" section.

  Applicants do ton have the right toclaim for refunds in the case if they fail to pass to the next round.

  Organizing Committee has the right to cancel the competition in case if it is necessary and taccording to the decision of the head  of the jury and Organizing Committee with the refund of the registration fee to the contestants. In case of such situation, the contestants will be informed in advance.

 

 ІІІ– PROCEDURE OF COMPETITION

 

  1. The performance order is set by the submission of the documents.

  2. Registration for the competition will take place July 3, 2017 from 15:00-21:00 in the lobby of  hotel  "7 Days." In case of late contestant is late for the 1-st audition round his or her performance is automatically postponed to the end of auditions.

  3. The competition consists of three rounds and compulsory program.

   First Round - Vusic piece of contestant s choice. July 4,2017

   Second Round - One piece of jury’s choice and an aria of an Italian composer. Jyly 5, 2017

   Third Round - One piece of  jurys choice. Jyly 7,2017

  4. The results of the competition will be announced at the end of the audition day, they will be presented on the stand of the competition hall and on the competition wedsite. Also it is possible to contact the competition secretary. You will receive the secretary s number during the registration.

   5. Rehearsals. The contestants will be given one acoustic rehearsal  and the rehearsal with the accompanist.

 

   PROGRAM:

  1. Ancient aria.

  2. Aria of a foreign composer (XVIII-XX c.).

  3. Expanded Aria from the opera of the Italian composer (not ancient).

  4. Contestant s national folk song in academic adaptation or Ukrainian folk song.

  Arias from operas are to be performed in the key of the original, original language with recitative and cavatina (in case there is one)

  The jury has the right to stop the competitor in any time of performance of the music place and to repeat the piece from any place.

 

 ІV– PRIZES AND AWARDS

  The winners will receive the title anddiploma of laureate and a cash prize.

  The First Prize - 25 000 UAH 

  The Second Prize - 10 000 UAH  

  The Third Prize - 5000 UAH 

  The winners will have the opportunity to perform at the gala-concert of the festival "Opera in miniature" 08.07.2017, where the award ceremony of is going to take place.

     In future, top singers can be invited to participate in international vocal projects of the festival "Opera in miniature", as well as in opera projects in Italy.
  The finalists of the contest will be awarded diplomas during  "The evening of the Neapolitan songs" Jyly7,2017

  Diplomas of the participants will be sent by mail after the competition.
